Description President Cook appointed the Task Force on Environmental Responsibility (TER) in 2006. Prior to this faculty from the Environmental Science department and the College's Center for Economic and Environmental Development (CEED) spent over a decade working with various campus constituents and offices to evolve environmental initiatives on campus. This group helped develop the College's Environmental Guiding Principles, which were adopted by the college and have been important in educating our community about the need for environmental responsibility and sustainability. In the summer of 2008, this group's recommendation resulted in the hiring of Allegheny College's first Sustainability Coordinator.
