Description The Green Efforts Committee is a multi-employee/department group that meets monthly to facilitate and promote campus information on, and efforts toward, sustainability, recycling, and awareness of environmental issues at Glendale Community College. The group sponsors regular sustainability forums, supports national awareness events, and shares ideas/provides input to operating practices with the Facilites Management Department (which also coordinates purchasing, recycling and waste management for the college). Green Efforts also works with the Student Enviromental Club, the First Year Experience Club, and other clubs (S.T.E.M. Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). A larger committee was formed in Fall 2010 to coordinate the GHG inventory (submitted to ACUPCC in May 2011) and develop a Climate Action Plan (submitted May 2013).
